Brandon Kyle Goco is a queer artist, filmmaker and scholar residing in Pasadena, California. He has a B.A. in Film Studies and a B.A. in American Studies. Brandon’s research interests include philosophy in film, Asian and Asian-American representation in U.S. media, and the exploration of LGBTQ+ identities across different cultures throughout history. He has twice been published in the academic journal, The American Papers. Brandon served as lead curator for “Do You See What I See?,” an art exhibit on avant-garde cinema at the Salz-Pollak Atrium Gallery. As a filmmaker, he has also written and directed several short films, including the 2014 documentary Q&A: Queer & Asian Male Identities in American Cinema. Brandon currently works at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood, California.
